Privacy Policy
At logmypays, we believe that your financial data is yours alone. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and (more importantly) how we protect your information when you use the logmypays mobile application.
1. Data We Do NOT Collect
logmypays is built on a privacy-first foundation. We securely sync your data across devices, but we do not connect to your bank, and we do not sell your transaction history.
- Secure Storage: All your budgets, transactions, custom buckets, and profiles are securely synced using industry-standard encryption so you can access them anywhere. We employ strict access controls to ensure your data remains private.
- No Selling Data: We are committed to your privacy. We will never sell your personal or financial information to third parties or advertisers.
2. Information We Process
To provide our core features, we utilize specific, trusted third-party services that process data temporarily or manage your subscriptions:
A. AI Receipt Scanning (Azure Document Intelligence)
When you use the receipt scanning feature, the image of your receipt is sent securely to our Microsoft Azure Document Intelligence endpoint for OCR (Optical Character Recognition) processing. This service extracts the merchant name, date, and line items so the app can categorize them. Microsoft does not use these images to train their base models, and the data is processed transiently and immediately discarded.
B. Subscriptions (RevenueCat & Apple/Google)
To manage our "logmypays Pro" subscriptions, we use RevenueCat. RevenueCat processes your purchase history anonymously to determine if you have an active Pro entitlement. They do not have access to your budgets. Payment processing is handled securely and entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store).
3. Analytics and Crash Reports
We do not use intrusive tracking SDKs. We rely strictly on the opt-in crash reporting and basic telemetry provided natively by Apple (App Store Connect) and Google (Google Play Console) to understand if the app is crashing so we can fix bugs.
4. Data Erasure
You have absolute control over your data. You can erase all your data from our systems at any time by going to Settings > Data & Privacy > Erase All Data within the app.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top.
